Buttock Implants & Augmentation

What is a Buttock Implant?

The buttock implant procedure helps those who would like to enhance the appearance, size and definition of the buttock area. It is a procedure suitable for both men and women who are self conscious about their flat buttock shape and despite rigorous exercises to improve the gluteal muscle remain unhappy with their buttocks.

The Benefits of Having Buttock Implants

This part of the body is not easily enlarged or shaped by weight training and after weight loss or due to the natural ageing process it can lose volume and shape. Having buttock implants can increase the buttock area to a desirable size and shape adding volume as well as those much wanted curves to the body. Buttock implants, much like breast implants, can vary in shape and size and can assist in providing a natural aesthetically proportionate figure that allows you to wear and feel confident in clothes of their choice.

The Buttock Implant Procedure

What Does the Buttock Implant Procedure Involve?

The buttock augmentation procedure is performed under a general anaesthetic and takes between one and two hours to perform. An incision, usually about five centimetres, is made between the buttocks on the tailbone. Through this incision the buttock muscle, gluteus maximus, is lifted and a pocket is made which is large enough to place the implant. The implant is inserted into its pocket and the same procedure is carried out on the opposite side. The surgeon will carefully examine the area to ensure that the results look natural and even. The incision is then stitched back together, usually using dissolvable stitches, creating rounder and fuller buttocks.
