Fluids can exit the wound because the labia are filled with blood vessels so most women have to wear a panty liner and loose undergarments for a couple of weeks in order to reduce discomfort and to capture any blood that has been lost. Personal hygiene is extremely important for this procedure and it is important that you take extra care of the wound during the first few days.
